SCR Medical Transportation, Inc. (SCR) began its tradition of innovative transportation service to the Chicago metropolitan area and surrounding suburbs in 1986, when it was founded by Mrs. Pamela M. Rakestraw and Mr. Stanley C. Rakestraw. SCR provides service 24 hours a day/365 days a year, focused on providing the most efficient, customer-service based transportation service possible to physically challenged individuals and senior citizens.

Professional Background

Mr. Rakestraw, SCR Chief Operating Officer (COO), is an advocate of the physically and mentally challenged, and brings more than thirty (30) years as a manager in the health care and transportation fields. Prior to founding SCR, Mr. Rakestraw was the principal in a health care consulting firm assisting clients in the development and implementation of management systems, provided marketing support, counseling, troubleshooting, recruitment and selection assistance, and developing policies and procedures for key aspects of his clients operations. Before forming that consulting practice, Mr. Rakestraw was an Administrator of skilled nursing homes ranging from 65 to 245 beds. In this capacity, he successfully maintained profit margins without sacrificing quality patient care.
